My first blog post ever… HI! Kind of nerve-racking. Of course you want it to be perfect and everything you ever imagined, right? Right. But I must say I got past the idea of it being “perfect” and just went with what felt right. So, vwa-lah!
Considering just ferriss–which has been a swirl of constant thoughts in my head forever until now–has finally come to life with some serious nudging from Bloglovin’s “Breakthrough Fashion Blogger of the Year” contest featuring H&M objects, it was only fitting that my go-live capture an H&M inspired look that effortlessly depicts a simple and classic side of just ferriss.
This collection was inspired by my block heels (H&M). They are the perfect heel height–not too high, not too low–to wear pleasantly with a shorter hem, day or night. They are the perfect color to mix with blushes or nudes, contrast with black (black and white is my favorite color) and brush a pop of bright red on your nails. I knew my outfit was missing something without a jacket of some sort–thank goodness for my go-to cream vest, which is also flexible with the outfit if you want to go sans jacket at any point. Also a S/O to my favorite sun hat, which I shamelessly promise will make many appearances beyond its cliche hat-pic debut here.
In addition to my modern-day block heels setting the tone for this look, I wanted to introduce just ferriss to you from the real MVP featured in these photographs–my city and the city I now call home–Asheville (NC). There is no city I’d rather roam my heels in and share with you than this unbelievably inspiring one. (But seriously, Asheville is way cooler than you think and you should check it out–just Google “asheville coolest city” and see for yourself! And if you’re browsing from A-town–what’s up, familiar faces in familiar places!)
So, here’s to my first blog post–and (hopefully!) many more to come.
