Finding a romper that fits perfectly in all the right places is a major win. I discovered the perfect romper last year and it’s back in stock in two different colors/patterns. Either get ready to make a trip to the store or get your credit card ready.
This leafy romper from H&M is one of my favorite finds. The classic style is easy to just throw on with sandals and go, or spice it up a bit. The white button down and gold accent accessories were inspired by a casual resort look — I felt like I should have been in Miami or something. But as soon as I took all the extras off, the look was all fun and games (literally, life size chess–check and mate). It was carefree and had me feeling in some kind of a wanderlust!
As I mentioned in this week’s music post, I had a bachelorette party this past weekend. So I obviously went shopping beforehand to get some Charleston-appropriate clothes, like shorts, a light jacket, sandals, casual spring tops–but naturally I ended up with a romper. I was thrilled when I went to H&M last week to see the same style romper as my leafy-print one back in stock–and in two new patterns! I didn’t wait a second to pick up the black one — I knew it would be perfect for some bachelorette party outing–dressy or casual. I wore it for our night out to a wine tasting, dinner then a night club, Republic (where we partied with cast members from Southern Charm–talk about entertainment), with my favorite tan wedges that seem to never go out of style (thanks, Aldo). I needed an outfit that would be good for a few occasions in one night–and my black romper was not going to fail me! I let the simplicity of the romper speak for itself–I didn’t wear any jewelry and did a half-up/half-down thing with my hair to give it some edge instead of my usual lob framing my face. And this particular style romper has pockets, and if you’ve been following me then you know I loveeeeeeeeee anything with pockets.
Two of my girlfriends, including the bride-to-be, wore rompers, so Saturday night’s romper crew was ready to romp! #romparound
Note About Sizing
This romper does run rather small — the leafy one is size 6, and I had to get a size 8 in the black one (although my size 6 still fits perfectly fine!–which was reassuring, whew). Don’t let the unusual sizing discourage you! I was like, size 8!? I don’t ever wear a size 8. The romper is designed to fit snug in all the right places–i.e., I danced all night and can hardly recall having to pull it up.

Happy romping! And TGIF. XOXO
