I met an ambassador from Noonday Collection at a pop-up shop event in Asheville (she also happened to be my neighbor–classic Asheville rendezvous). I was captivated immediately by the Noonday Collection story (a brand I hadn’t heard of before) and when I looked at the products I fell even more in love knowing there was a story behind each piece. I couldn’t be more excited to feature some beautiful products (made with love, of course) and their stories in my holiday gift guide!
Connecting with a brand because you love their products is ordinary. Connecting with a brand because of their story is extraordinary. Not only are the items featured in this post beautiful and amazing–they are beautifully made, and they are beautifully made by beautiful people.
Noonday Collection is a “business that uses fashion to create meaningful opportunities around the world.” They partner with artisan entrepreneurs to develop fair trade business opportunities in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. This structure empowers people and communities to grow sustainably and to create dignified jobs for people who need them. Noonday Collection is building a flourishing world where children are cherished, women are empowered, people have jobs and people are connected.
When we shop Noonday Collection, we have the chance to be a part of that! Here’s what I’m wearing and how to get each of them.
La Noche Bracelet and Chandelier Earrings — Made with love in Guatemala
The bracelet and earrings are hand-beaded by a group in Guatemala led by local artisan, Cristobal. The technique he developed specifically to create these pieces is exceptional–in looking at these pieces, you might think they are heavy. They are soooooo light weight and that is a game changer.
The bracelet, called the La Noche, is a Noonday Collection best-seller. Cristobal dreamed up the design and technique in the middle of the night, which is why it’s called the La Noche. The Chandelier Earrings matched perfectly.
Purchasing these pieces means more than wearing beautiful jewelry. Our business empowers Cristobal to grow his business sustainably and to create opportunities for artisans in his community. “As a result, these women are able to earn a reliable, sustainable income, often working from home where they can also care for their children. With their earnings, these women are able to send their children to school, to pay for healthcare, and to buy food to nourish their families.”

La Vie Skinny Scarf — Made with love in India
I am absolutely OBSESSED with this neck tie/necklace/skinny scarf–which could also be worn as a belt or headbeand. I opted for a draped choker look to balance the low neckline of my slip dress–casual hair tuck was a bonus. More importantly than how I wore this lovely accessory is how it was made, where it was made and the creators behind it.
“This piece was made by artisans in India who are rising out of poverty. Everyone involved in the creation process receives a fair wage and financial and technical training, as well as enjoying safe working conditions. Although Indian women often have fewer opportunities than men, our artisan business partners focus on employing women, offering them the opportunity to care for their families and experience personal flourishing.”
