Wool sweater x silk pants makes dreams come true, faux real. My holiday gift guide is launching soon (yay!). In the meantime, mix and match last year’s sweater with this year’s pants and call it a day.
My current fall and cold-weather wardrobe consist of a lot of last year’s clothes–and maybe even the year before that. It’s not so bad when you can mix and match or add in a little something new to keep it relevant, like some cigarette silk pants.
I love a good quality sweater and nice pant to recycle year-after-year. Oversized cozy knits and sweaters with character can go a longgggggg way. In this case, all I needed was a crisp pair of silk pants (these are these are J. Crew) to give this wool sweater a fresh look from my usual black sloan pants or casual denim weekend look with booties. The chunky turtleneck is ideal for the classic hair tuck. My strappy, pointy black flats pulled it all together for a sharp feminine look.
Wool sweater x silk pants x patent shoes — add red wine on the front porch after a long day’s work and your sweater weather dreams come true.
Happy Thanksgiving week, y’all!
