Asheville is one of those places you can make any outfit work for any occasion no matter where you’re going or what you’re doing. There’s no pressure to feel under-dressed or overdressed–you can be who or whatever you want to be! Headed to drinks with friends? Lunch with a friend? Dinner with your parents? Brunch for one? No problem! (Hint: an off the shoulder crop top is always a good idea — mix and match!)
I went for Easter brunch, not sure what I was in the mood to eat or wear. Knowing I’d just roam downtown and make a game-time decision, I tried on a few outfits–all of which were appropriate but none of which I was feeling–and I landed on the one I felt most comfortable in. This happened to be my cigarette silk trousers and a white off the shoulder crop top paired with a low block heel (because always a low block heel) with an ankle strap and subtle pointy fit for an extra feminine and flattering appeal. Aaaaand to keep it appropriate for a Sunday morning/afternoon, I went with an all-natural hair and face look. What turned out to be a brunch for one (at The Market Place–AMAZING, I got the steak and eggs) turned into drinks for three on the patio at The Southern.
Thank goodnessssssss for good timing, Insta stories and text messaging that managed to get me, @tylerjmccall and @itsmeericc all together for a sunny holiday Sunday spent laughing and cheers-ing on the perfect patio set-up at The Southern! You can catch the Boomerang series on my Instagram, which has been my fuel for the week — reminding me of the happiness that fills my life!
I will definitely be wearing this outfit again! Shop my look in this posttttttttt. Also featuring @itsmeeric, which you can find all of his swagggggggggg pictured here at Gap.

Trouser — Silk Cigarette Pant via J. Crew
These pants are absolutely to dieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for. I can’t get enough of them (you may recall I wore them in this colder-weather #ootd). I dress them up and down, with tunics, with shirts tucked in, obviously with crop tops, with flats with heels, with platforms, with sandals–my mom even wore them! They are flattering, comfortable and an investment worth making. I plan on having these forever.
